Bella’s menu has been designed to suit a more casual atmosphere were guests can enjoy share plate/tapas style dining.

You can drop in for a glass of wine and a snack, or light lunch, food experience.  Or for groups of 6 or more, why not spend the afternoon grazing on the specially designed, ‘light group’, or ‘generous group’ options.

You can choose to dine in our beautiful outdoor courtyard, featuring a children’s play area where you can relax and enjoy yourself while the kids are kept entertained.  Or choose to book a table inside in front of the fire in the cellar door/restaurant area.

Bookings

About Bella’s at Tallagandra Hill

Country hospitality, luxe ingredients cooked with heart and unique farm-to-table wines bring people from all walks of life together at Bella’s at Tallagandra Hill.

The food celebrates premium cool climate wines made by Tallagandra Hill in the Yass Valley, just north of Canberra. Each wine is made only from grapes grown onsite at Tallagandra Hill, and enriched by the hardworking soils of Gundaroo.  Each wine carries the characteristics of the people who produce it and the place and earth it comes from.  The region boasts excellent organic produce, and the cool winters and hot summers mean the land is abundant with truffle, olive oil, stone fruits, apples, pears and a plethora of vegetables. Top quality lamb grazes the paddocks surrounding the property, chooks lay biodynamic eggs, and artisan producers dot the surrounding farms.

In 2018 Chef Bella and her husband joined the Tallagandra Hill family, where David & Mary have been creating unforgettable wine experiences for Canberra district locals, and wine lovers from afar. Each dish is designed to highlight the flavours and aromas of the wines, and takes inspiration from heartfelt country style cooking in wine producing regions across the globe. Of course, we use plenty of bountiful local produce, but most importantly we lift the flavours of our dishes with native Australian herbs and spices to give you a truly unique experience.

Bella recently moved to the region from Sydney and has gained national notoriety through her work as a TV chef on network 10’s Kitchen Rescue, and previously as resident chef on The Morning Show and winner of My Kitchen Rules 8 years ago. She has run a successful catering business where she has wowed clients such as Google, Porsche, and Youtube, and created memorable menus for countless weddings and special events.

Where to find us

You will find Tallagandra Hill on Murrumbateman Road in Gundaroo, New South Wales, accessible from the Federal Highway via Sutton or from the Barton Highway.

By car we are located just 30 minutes north from the heart of Canberra and 3 hours from Sydney.
