Mahalia Barnes and the Soul Mates, return to Tallagandra Hill
Sunday 15 October 2023
One of the best entertainers in the business, and one of our favourites, is returning to Tallagandra Hill on Sunday 15 October 2023.
Mahalia has been in and around music her entire life. Throughout her childhood years she was exposed to everything from Ray Charles, Otis Redding, Wilson Pickett to Ike + Tina Turner, Aretha Franklin, Donny Hathaway and Stevie Wonder, all of which helped shape her into the powerhouse soul and blues vocalist that has jaws dropping every time she picks up a mic.
Don’t expect a quiet, polite, restrained gig, or a gimmicky soul show with costumes & scripted banter. This band covers the full range of the soul music spectrum, the show is dynamic, organic, raw & exciting. Great players, great singing & so much feeling.
A wonderful opportunity to enjoy the best of Australia’s singer-songwriters performing in one of the region’s best music venues at Tallagandra Hill.
